Who took my fridge!?

I came home from work Monday and it was gone!  My ‘beer fridge’…an all important part of my garage…is missing.

Let’s face it, guys really don’t have a major need for everyday kitchen appliances, but, the garage refrigerator is a must-have piece of man-law.  Is there anything better than coming in after a tough day at the office, or, after some tough yard work…or, just on a steamy summer afternoon and cracking a cold one from the garage fridge?

Well, mine was one of those smaller ones…just big enough to keep a case of my favorite, Heineken, prefectly chilled.  Oh, yeah…I let Julie keep a Diet Pepsi or two and some bottled water on the door.

Anyway…turns out, my garage fridge used to be my son’t dorm fridge at The University of Vermont.  I only got it for my own when he couldn’t find a way to lug it all the way to the United Kingdom for junior year.

Well, now, Stevie is about to return and wants what he calls ‘his’ fridge back for when he moves to Vermont in June.  He wants it to, as he put it, store items that can’t be placed in the communal fridge in this six-bedroom house he’ll be part of.

Hey…that’s my reason for wanting one!

Turns out, one of his soon-to-be roommates, Charlie, dropped by this morning and took it up to Burlington with him.  So, if you have an extra refrigerator in working condition…let me know below…maybe we can work something out.

I’m looking for a new beer fridge!

Bloggingly yours,

Haus

    Hey Steve,

If you ever come out to Caledonia we have an outlet store that gets all the “Scratch and Dent” stuff. It’s on Rt. 5 towards LeRoy. They have quite the collection of small fridges very cheap.

I used to live on campus but now I commute to school from my parents house so I have a dorm fridge collecting dust in the basement. If you want it, it’s all yours. My dad has a full sized garage fridge with a keg tap so he doesn’t need it.

Steve - we left our house for an apartment and I have a fridge sitting, taking up space in the garage (not hooked up). Feel like taking a trip to Newark?
