How was Mother’s Day?

It was quiet for Julie and me.  Stevie called around 8:00 from London.  He and his mother spoke for about 45 minutes.  Typical of a 21-year-old, he did not send a card and he said ‘the gift will come later.’

For my part, I came up with a breakfast menu.  It never happened, though.  Julie decided she was too tired and not hungry, so, no breakfast…and back to bed.  Dinner barbecue plans went off without a hitch.

Mother’s Day presents?  None here…she and I agree no gifts on these Hallmark Holidays.

But, what about you?  What did you get from the family?  Was it a surprise?  Expected?  A letdown?  Feel free to share by clicking COMMENTS…

I’m not even a mother, but my fiance bought me a beautiful sapphire heart necklace for Mother’s Day. He said it really wasn’t for Mother’s Day…it was “just because he could” and because I never expected it. He’s a sweet boy! :)

This was my first Mother’s Day and my husband was so sweet!!! We went to breakfast, but before we left he couldn’t wait to give my gift. He got me a BEAUTIFUL Pandora bracelet with a “J” charm (our sons first name is Jack). And from Jack, I got his handprints under a picture of him in a frame to hang on the wall. So sweet and so special!! I’ll never forget my first Mother’s Day :-D
