How was Mother’s Day?
It was quiet for Julie and me. Stevie called around 8:00 from London. He and his mother spoke for about 45 minutes. Typical of a 21-year-old, he did not send a card and he said ‘the gift will come later.’
For my part, I came up with a breakfast menu. It never happened, though. Julie decided she was too tired and not hungry, so, no breakfast…and back to bed. Dinner barbecue plans went off without a hitch.
Mother’s Day presents? None here…she and I agree no gifts on these Hallmark Holidays.
But, what about you? What did you get from the family? Was it a surprise? Expected? A letdown? Feel free to share by clicking COMMENTS…

I’m not even a mother, but my fiance bought me a beautiful sapphire heart necklace for Mother’s Day. He said it really wasn’t for Mother’s Day…it was “just because he could” and because I never expected it. He’s a sweet boy!

This was my first Mother’s Day and my husband was so sweet!!! We went to breakfast, but before we left he couldn’t wait to give my gift. He got me a BEAUTIFUL Pandora bracelet with a “J” charm (our sons first name is Jack). And from Jack, I got his handprints under a picture of him in a frame to hang on the wall. So sweet and so special!! I’ll never forget my first Mother’s Day
