Well, it went pretty well…my first golf date of the season.

Because of work, I only got to play nine holes at Oak Hill Country Club, yesterday, but managed to put together a score of 49!  Also part of the tally; three lost balls…no huge damage to the course…and, the shocker of the day, I won the prize for closet to the hole on the par 3 sixth hole!  Somehow, I managed to nuzzle my tee shot to within four feet nine inches of the pin!  It is the closest I’ve ever been to a hole-in-one!

I apologize to my buddy, Mike Catalana from Channel 13, though…he had the closest shot up to the time I got lucky.

Anyway, all this was a prelude to the 69th Senior PGA Championship coming up at Oak Hill Country Club in  a couple of weeks.   The championship runs the week of May 19th and if you want more information, simple log onto www.seniorpga2008.com
