The Dentist vs Michael Bolton
Friday, April 25th, 2008Let me begin by saying I like my dentist. In fact, he’s one of my neighbors and, over the past four or five years, we have built a level of trust. He knows I hate having to visit his office (nothing personal, of course) and he also knows of my tiny tolerance for pain. With that, my last dozen or so trips to his office have been pain-free…thanks in part, to his numbing my mouth with novocaine.
Everything changed this week, though, when, while filling a cavity, the doctor hit and nerve. Not good! The sound of the drill, the sight of smoke coming out of my mouth…that horrible smell! And, then…that pain you remember from every bad trip to the dentist when he hits a nerve.
Enough said? Ahh, no…
What could be worse than all this? How ’bout the Michael Bolton music that is pumped through the office! Michael Bolton!!! The dentist!!! Which is worse?
Feel free to let me know…via email.
